Wavex is a managed service provider (MSP) delivering a strong focus on user safety and business cyber security. Based in London for over 20 years, Wavex delivers its services largely to customers in the city. Wavex’s clients rely on them to manage their IT services and infrastructure to reduce risk and improve the end-user experience.
The challenge
Following a shift from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, Wavex was left paying for unused hosting capacity at its existing colocation facility, Global Switch 2. Despite the migration, they still needed some space in the data centre to support a customer reliant on legacy hardware.
However, the existing contract with their colocation partner was no longer cost effective. Wavex needed a new solution which was flexible, aligned with current requirements, and better suited to their budget.
The solution
After a thorough review of colocation providers, Wavex selected Hyve as their new partner. Hyve was able to offer a tailored service which met Wavex’s technical and commercial needs, without requiring a full data centre move, since we both operate out of Global Switch 2.
