Our Story

Whilst working during the digital boom at the turn of the millennium, our founders, Jake Madders and Jon Lucas witnessed the lack of direct, individualised support within the cloud industry.

Jun 2001

Hyve is Born, offering Dedicated Server hosting working with HP, Cisco, Microsoft and Redhat.

Feb 2006

Hyve become one of the first UK companies to achieve PCI Compliance allowing customers to store credit card details safely.

May 2010

Hyve launches Worlds First Enterprise Cloud product running on VMware and reaches £4M turnover.

Oct 2013

Tesco and LG start using Hyve Enterprise cloud advancing the uptake of Cloud technology.

Jan 2015

Hyve selects NTT, CenturyLink and Cogent to provide tier 1 network solutions. Global network bandwidth exceeds 1 Terabit.

Jun 2015

Hyve moves to Silicon Beach, Brighton, hiring some of the area's tech experts, expands to 20 staff and £6M turnover.

May 2017

Hyve expands to the USA, opening its first Global office in California and launches it's Private Cloud offering

April 2018

Hyve deploys a production cloud in Bogota, Colombia (BG1) and becomes certified in Cyber Essentials.

Aug 2019

Hyve deploys production clouds in Tokyo, New York, Madrid, Zurich and Geneva.

Sep 2019

Hyve won Cloud Company of the Year for the 2nd time at the SDC awards, reaches 30 staff and £10M turnover.

Jul 2020

Hyve starts to offer fully managed container hosting, with certified Kubernetes engineers.
