Bandwidth, also referred to as digital bandwidth or network bandwidth is a measure of available or consumed data communication resources expressed in bit/s or multiples of it (kbit/s, Mbit/s etc). In layman's terms, it describes how much data can pass down the line in a specific amount of time.
